Frank Lofaro is a highly-regarded business executive, with more than 35 years of leadership experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors.
Most recently, Frank served as CEO of Prison Fellowship International from 2013 to 2018, and was involved in nonprofit prison ministry for more than 20 years, successfully launching new ministry programs that are still used worldwide. This includes Prison Fellowship International’s child sponsorship program, The Prisoner’s Journey evangelization and discipleship program, as well as Prison Fellowship USA’s first biblically-based corrections program, InnerChange Freedom Initiative.
From 2006 to 2012, Frank served as president and CEO of the Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA). CLA is America’s foremost Christian organization focused on issues of management and leadership from a biblical Christian perspective. CLA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is comprised of more than 10,000+ members who work in more than 5,200 Christian nonprofit organizations nationwide.
From 2002 to 2006, Frank served as the director of the National Resource Centre for the $150M Compassion Capital Fund, a President Bush’s flagship Faith-Based program to increase the scale and effectiveness of faith-based and community organizations.
Earlier in his career, Frank built and sold a lock manufacturing company and also owned several successful restaurants. Frank received a bachelor’s in economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his MBA from Long Island University. He also studied law at Touro Law School in New York.
Frank just released his first book Now You See Me: Uncovering the Hidden Crisis of the Children of Prisoners (2017), an unprecedented work to document and uncover the hidden crisis that leaves impoverished children of prisoners without safety, food, education, medical care, and spiritual and emotional support. His book A New Strategy in Nonprofit Capacity Building: A Breakthrough Model from Prison Fellowship International releases in 2018.
